Yup! I've also been a fan since then. I even got the DVD of the series on Amazon, some time back (it was VERY inexpensive).

Also, previous to Doogie, he did a movie with Whoopi Goldberg that was good.

Clara's Heart (1988). I remember it well, chickenbutt and absolutely loved it.
