Re: NO MORE DANCING WITH STARS

To host a show you have to have a certain personality, witty outgoing and able to come up with stuff on the spot while still being warm.   You either have that type of personality like Tom Bergeron or not.  She has a lot of talents but that is not one of them.  Plus those ugly outfits she wears....Nick Cannon had that host personality on America's got Talent.  Never cared as much for that show after he left.

Re: NO MORE DANCING WITH STARS

This was about 5 years ago, but I've never forgotten it.  One of the graduate students that used the ILL services was this young women.  One day she came in to get something dressed....oh like fancy dress girl in the 1950's going dancing.  She had on very high heels.  Turns out she & her husband were going to a ballroom dance competition.  They both started out doing dance lessons, liked it so much, that they turned to competing.  I asked her about the shoes.  She said they don't give much support.  If anything no support.  It's for visual effect.  Needing to show how long your legs were. Although married, they had different partners & competed against each other.  She did all dances except for Latin. she said that was hard.  Latin has their specialist dancers. She graduated, and I don't know if she continued to do dancing.

@proudlyfromNJ, actually, Brooke was the third co-host alongside of Tom. Lisa Canning was the first and Samantha Harris was the second. Brooke was third, followed by Erin. I will take any and all of them over Tyra Banks. I really like Tom Bergeron and decided not to watch anymore once they fired him.

@Qgirl26  Oh, so sorry. I thought I watched from day one. I guess I was mistaken.

@proudlyfromNJ, that's ok, I just thought I'd mention it. It's been on a very long time. I just looked it up and it was 2005. I remember watching it as I was preparing to take my youngest little boy to Bible school one night and he's almost 26 now.

Re: NO MORE DANCING WITH STARS

I've been doing what another poster does - fast forward through everything to watch the dances. I'm not a Tyra fan and I miss Tom. What would get me to watch the whole show again? Use Tyra on another show and since it's unlikely Tom will come back, give the job to Derek- he'd be great!   Smiley Happy

@Shanus

I haven't watched that show in several seasons, but I knew letting Tom & Erin go was bad move.   I stopped watching because the promos announcing all the participating "celebrities" was a joke.

Several times I thought .... who are these people?

IMO, The show ran its course several years ago.
