Re: NFL Awards and Prince Harry

@lgfan.  Several years ago, it was announced that Harry was going to work for a company in Simi Valley. That was the last we heard of that.  Maybe they explained to him that he was expected to be at work daily and he balked.

Why would the NFL want him involved? No one wants him around, he's poison. He's not welcome in the UK at all anymore. Understandably....he should just go crawl in a cave and stay there LOL.

@BoopOMatic.  Or better yet, keep himself busy with a REAL JOB.  He's got a long life ahead, he'd be happier doing something productive and challenging.

So what happened to the humanitarian work that they were both doing when they were in England.  Didn't they make a trip to Africa to do missionary work.  They cannot do that while living in California?

Well, you see @lgfan it appears they TALK a lot about humanitarian work, but not sure how much they actually DO. After all, they don't get PAID for doing good works and that was reportedly a high priority for her. Instead, she's become expert at posing in parking lots and then calling out the paid-for paps.

@Kachina624  I believe he was given some lofty made-up title and that his name appeared, briefly, on letterhead somewhere, but again, not sure there was an actual job description or how much actual work got done. Given reports of his less that stellar educational background, one wonders what he might be qualified to do and do well.

@stevieb.  English accents are a popular attribute of hosts on tv shopping channels.  lol.  Lots of charm, little skill required.

You are right.  You don't have to know anything as long as you are a good storyteller.  Harry would be perfect for the job.

I don't know much about football, but seems like the person who won the award is being overshadowed by all the media updates about Harry being the one to present it.  Given all the negative press surrounding Harry in the past year or so, it seems like they could have made a better choice for presenter.

Re: NFL Awards and Prince Harry

Doesn't matter to me in the least who presents the awards,  Who wins is a different matter, but the presenter doesn't make that choice.

As to why Harry -  like it or not he's a name known to people beyond the usual sports fans.   It's been so interesting to me that women are falling all over football now that Taylor is showing up.   Maybe Harry will bring in a few others.  It's not going to be me.  I sat through 5 cold, wet years of Friday night football in my youth.  No desire ever to do that again!

Are you kidding?   If there is money to be made and it's legal, the NFL will be into it if at all possible.  No one should be surprised.

@Tinkrbl44 No.  I am not kidding.  I think it is nothing near what it used to be.  I don't have respect for these "anything for a buck" enterprises and that way of looking at life and people.
