It's entirely appropriate that Harry be the presenter in this context. Harry started and sponsors the globally famous Invictus Games, which is a terrific way to show great support to wounded warriors. Raises a great deal of money, too, for very worthy efforts. The complaints in this thread sound more like a thinly veiled attempt to just throw some hate on Harry at every opportunity. He is world famous and LOVED by millions, albeit perhaps not on the QVC Forum.

ITA.   This could be publicity to raise support for the Invictus games.   Harry and Meghan are traveling to Canada next week to celebrate the one year countdown to the next games.

It just makes me think a little less of the NFL.  Something I didn't know was possible.  More about celebrities than football now.

@Sooner - DH is a huge football fan. He has a subscription so he can watch ALL of the games, both college and pro.

He "says" he is not going to watch the Super Bowl because of the way they're acting. According to him, all TPTB at the NFL care about now is the money they rake in when certain celebrities attend games. We'll see. Of course it might be easier for him since the Steelers aren't in it.

He said he could not stand to watch the cameras focusing on Taylor jumping up and down every time Travis does something.

 DD will be here. She's a huge "Swifty."

I really don't care. I watch for the commercials! LOL! And this year I'm determined to be out of the kitchen before halftime!

Rumor going around today that Usher might be bringing Justin AND Britney! We'll see!     Smiley Wink

Is the Pope Catholic?

The Markles do nothing for free. One of reasons she left the UK as she couldnt believe she wasnt getting "paid" for the apperances.

@LizzieInSRQ

Well, in the job she had for many years beforehand, it was customary to be paid for appearances.  When Harry proposed marriage I doubt he mentioned she was expected to work for no salary.  Clearly, no one thought to mention it.

It is sheer speculation on your part if H&M caused stress on anyone.  You have no way of knowing that.

As to who you may despise, I don't care.

Many do run here to start threads.  They have going on for years.

@Mersha

Back when Harry met Meghan the queen and her hubs were very old and had been around the block many times, and lived through many things.   I'm sure much of what they encountered in their later years (good and bad) didn't really phase them very much.  They'd seen it all.

@Tinkrbl44   I agree with you.

It is laughable when posters actually think they know the feelings, emotions, happiness, sadness, etc. of members of the RF.

Good grief.

Re: NFL Awards and Prince Harry

I’m not particularly a fan of Harry but he was charming & funny that night. The Brits do enjoy American football too. More importantly, Cam was flattered to receive the award from Harry. He said “I mean Prince freakin Harry” in response to receiving the award from him. Cam lost his Dad, “Iron Head” Heyward at age 39 when Cam was in HS. He dedicates his work to his Dad & continues his legacy of service to others in his community.

Rather than trashing Harry, one should concentrate on the works Cam Heyward does & the special & humble person he is. We hear all of the bad stories about NFL players but there are many who are out there serving & making their communities better.

I am not from Pa but see the wonderful work done in NJ by members of the Giants. I especially appreciated members of the team who showed up daily at the Ground Zero respite after 9/11. They were humble, sensitive and did anything they could to help.

@LizzieInSRQ

I didn't personally know either of them, did you?  Otherwise, you're just speculating.

Of all that was going on those last few years, I would think that Andrew, the pedophile and the underage girls .... and her paying almost $20 million to settle the lawsuit would be a LOT more concerning than what H&M said on some interview.

The queen was known to be very frugal, so the huge settlement she paid to protect Andrew means it was a HUGE problem if it all came out.

No matter how wealthy someone is, they don't just shell out twenty mil for no good reason.

JMO, of course.
