About a year ago I happened upon this show in passing through the TV channels. But never could find the show again. I wasn't sure what chnnel it was on.

Today I found the show again. I could not believe all the interesting stories. There was one show about an American B-17 pilot during WWII. He was stationed in Britain. And they flew a bombing raid over Germany to take out a vehicle factory. The pilot's plane was shot up quite a bit. His gunners were killed. He lost 3 of his 4 engines. The cockpit was filled with smoke. And they lost their navigation system. Making it tough for them to attempt to fly back to Britain.

Then they saw a German Messerschmitt flying toward them. So the crew figured they was goners. Well the pilot of the Messerschmitt came along side the B-17. And motioned for the B-17 pilot to follow him. The B-17 pilot figured I got nothing to lose, we are in no position to fight. So after following the Messerschmitt, he finally recognized that he was flying over the English Channel. The pilot of the Messerschmitt waved goodbye.

The B-17 landed on British soil. The pilot of the B-17 always wondered about the pilot of the Messerschmitt and his motives. Finally in 1985 he tried to find the Messerschmitt pilot. And through a pilot magazine, he found the pilot. They meet and the German pilot said he was just getting tired of all the killing and wanted to do something good.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

It’s been on for years. I love history, archaeology, and more, but I stopped watching because of the dramatic reenactments and the brevity of each segment.

It's been on for many years.  It's one of hubby's favorite shows.  I like it too but I only watch it occasionally.  It comes on the Science Channel.
