My Family is a 10 episode Japanese drama available on Hulu.

It's a parent's job to protect your children. So what do you do when your child is kidnapped? Do you contact the police?  Or do you follow the kidnapper's instructions and leave the police out of it?

That's the first decision a workaholic head of a video game company needs to make with his wife once they discover their daughter has been taken. And since they learn the kidnapper is likely someone they know, or are related to, or work with...then who do you trust? Especially since the kidnapping seems to be a copycat of one a few years past and that child was never recovered.

I thought this was well written, and a continuing rollercoaster for a father being repeatedly sucked into situations beyond his control with his constant motivation being to do what's necessary to bring a child home alive.
