My DD is dealing with her boys being out of school for the forseeable future. They are already doing homework, piano practice and farm chores. They are also viewing the virtural presentations from art museums and zoos. And they are really into board games. But there is still time to fill, so she would like suggestions for movies. Here's her request: "Must see movies for 10-13 year olds, please! Informative, adventure, classics, comedies, whatever! PG-13 suggestions are fine, we'll just research it. Thanks in advance!"

How about some blasts from the past:
ET
Field Of Dreams
Back To The Future
Ferris Buehler's Day Off
My children enjoyed them as well as the grandchildren...classics.

As a teacher, I would rely on a source like this:

There are some that I think would not appeal as much to boys, but check out the list and see what you think.

@lolakimono Thanks for the link! I loved The Black Stallion book when I was a kid, and the movie was great! I'll pass this link along.

Have they ever seen Babe (1995)? Or Fluke (1995)?

There are several Tom Hanks movies that are really entertaining and all family members might enjoy.
You've Got Mail, Forrest Gump, Toy Story, The Burbs

One comes to mind but I'm not sure if it's appropriate. Road to Perdition (2002). It can be a little dark, but I think it's a wonderful story for young boys.
