This is a four part documentary airing on HBO tonight at 10:00. "Following the unsolved murder of his mother Barbara in 2010, Madison Hamburg returns to his hometown of Madison, Connecticut to piece together her life story. Madison dives into his parents' divorce and the unsettling details of his mother's life". I will give it a look although I haven't liked the documentaries on HBO lately.

I saw that pop up a few days ago but haven't decided if I'm going to watch yet, but if you do, let me know what you think and if it's worth checking out.

@Jordan2  There was a write-up in my Sunday newspaper this morning and this looks very interesting.  I do not have HBO or I would be watching.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I remember when this happened.  I always thougth the police were paid off by the father, he seemed the only one with motive to kill her,  be it a paid participant so he could have a solid alibi.  we shall learn more.

I watched this last night. I live in NYC, this happened ten years ago in Connecticut, I don't recall the case. The case is still an ongoing murder investigation, I feel after the fourth installment we still won't know what happened. I will continue watching it, it's interesting enough for me to take a second look. The father of Madison is some piece of work, he doesn't want to discuss the murder with his son. I have to wonder, if he was completely innocent why wouldn't you cooperate?

@Re: Murder On Middle Beach

#@I might watch.....as a child I vacationed on Circle Beach very near Middle Beach in Madison Connecticut.  Madison is a beauiful coastal town along Long Island Sound.  I live close to it and to the "shore"

I found this so incredibly sad. You can tell how much this young man loved his mother. I had never heard of this before this docu series. I will continue to watch to see if he can find out more about what happened to his mother.

Re: @Re: Murder On Middle Beach

I liked this approach to covering this murder vs. your basic Dateline kind of shows.  It must be incredibly frustrating for the son that his dad won't give him any answers.
