Bye Bye Birdie and Ann-Margret are the reasons I am a redhead by choice.

Re: Movies with great music in them

[ Edited ]

Anything scored by John Williams.

Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire, Eddie and the Cruisers*, Footloose, Streets of Fire, Purple Rain, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones' Diary, Love Actually, O Brother Where Art Thou, Tomb Raider, Ghostbusters, James Bond movies, Casino Royale (the original David Niven/Peter Sellers movie with music by Burt Bacharach and Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass!), Dirty Dancing, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Garden State.

Bye Bye Birdie, Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, Singing in the Rain,  Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, The Muppet Movie, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Frozen (even if we are SO over it), Grease, Tommy, The Wizard of Oz, and A Chorus Line (thank goodness they made a bad movie of it so I could include it here!).

*Eddie and the Cruisers 2 was a terrible movie, but it also had a really good soundtrack.

All the Woody Allen movies have the best music. (and the best shots of NY).
