šŸŽ„ Movie: ā€œA Star Is Bornā€šŸŽ„

We are late to the party I realize, but just finished watching this.

I wish I'd NEVER seen this! I'm so sad!

Saw the B Streisand one years ago and entirely blocked it out! It must have been sad too!

I can say that the acting was SUPERB and now I just want to sit and cry!

If the acting wasn't so good, probably it would not have evoked this emotion.

The music was enjoyable too.

The 1954 version with Judy Garland was amazing too.

I've never watched this entire version. I was so looking forward to seeing it.  I don't know why I don't stick with it.

I can't count how many times I've seen the Streisand version (& Judy Garland to a lesser extent)

I've watched Bohemian Rhapsody a million times.

I've seen all of the versions, they are all sad , but I love them. šŸ’•

I've seen all versions, but the newest one with Bradley Cooper and Lady GAGA was my favorite!

I bought both the movie and the soundtrack!

my friends were shocked when i took a pass on seeing this new version.  i said that i saw the b. streisand version and wanted to preserve that in my memory.  had no interest in seeing an updated version.  i'm sure it was well done ... but, no.

I'm with you.

I saw the Bradley Cooper version and it was MEH for me.

Plus it was a little trashy.    It didn't do a thing for me.   I didn't care about Jackson Maine, alive or dead and Ally wasn't "all that".

Now give me Kris Kristofferson.    I love his version.   The music was outstanding, I found myself rooting for John Norman and Esther, but knew it wasn't going to work in the long run.

The Judy Garland version is spectacular.

@software

Well, I'd have to agree with you!

My first thought was "trashy" too, and at first I thought I just didn't care if those two got together or not.

I also found myself wondering if this type of lifestyle and relationship is what "the younger generation" call a "Cinderella Story" (NOT).

But then, back in the day, we romanticized "Pretty Woman" and "Grease" so I guess?

The part that gut-wrenched me was when

Spoiler
he did that to her at the Grammys. B Cooper has such very expressive eyes.

I have never seen the Judy Garland version, and it has been a really long time since I saw the Streisand/Kristofferson version. I loved the newest version with Bradley and Lady Gaga though.....I have watched it many times and never tire of it.......

Would love to be able to find and watch the Garland version....
