Re: More With Love, Megan

[ Edited ]

Just my two cents, but I think that dominant and assertive men are much more accepted in our society than women with those traits.

@Linmo   I agree.

A strong, assertive woman is a threat and deemed the B word.

Really, another thread needed to throw more negativity Meghan's way?????

Yes another thread. Where no one is forced to open and read. Where it isn't against the rules. Where we those of us who have an interest in the subject will continue to post.

@Mersha

If you find the Megan threads too stressful there are plenty of other threads that will be to your liking.

It is not "renewed".  There is a second segment of the original filming.   Netflix is not paying for a second segment nor is another segment being filmed.

The filming for the original videos that were just released was last summer.  There were multiple episodes or versions filmed with multiple other food or decor items that were not chosen for the current viewing.  Those leftover segments are being broadcast later this year.  It will be apparent they were filmed at the rented home just as the current segments were.   That home is not available for any more filming.

Just to be very clear, this is a smokescreen to pretend that Netflix is picking her up as a new contract.

My opinion is that Netflix is just letting the clock run out on their contract, which ends in September this year.  They are also just keeping a low profile on this so as to not engender some frivilous lawsuit on the end the contract, as it's very clear the duo is highly litigenous.

Just to be clear, the episodes were filmed in the rented home as well as the actual home.  There are clearly two different kitchens.

I watched all of the first bunch and will probably watch the second.  As I said on the other thread, I enjoyed the scenery, and even the seeing the interior of both houses.  I have a thing for "all things kitchen" and liked seeing what she has and uses.

As stated by many, she sometimes has a preachy manner of speaking that can be off putting.

Just to be clear, 'assertive and strong' do not equate to being difficult and demanding. Characteristics associated with a diva-like persona are hard enough to take, but especially so when such 'status' is completely unwarranted and unearned. Moreover, such traits have been assigned to her from various entities with which she has worked. Defenders can defend but where there's smoke there's usually at least a kernel of truth.

@lgfan   If you find my replies to be "stressful," just pass on by.

Easy peasy.

I don't find your replies stressful.  You are the one that is constantly making remarks about the negativity of the Megan threads.

@lgfan  "Negativity" is MY opinion.

Absolutely no cause to worry about my stress level as you pointed out several times.
