I thought this was one of the weirder get ups of the evening. Lagerfeld did a lot of bridal while at Chanel so I guess this was meant to be an ode to that. This is model Alton Mason who was the first male black model to walk in a Chanel show. Lagerfeld cast him in the show.

Serena Williams announced her pregnancy at the Gala.  Congrats to her, Alexis and Olympia!

Gisel Bundchen wore a vintage dress she wore for Lagerfeld 16 years ago in his 2007 Chanel couture show. I think she was going for both her personal memory of KL and the Chanel bridal look. I really liked the dress. I wasn't able to post the better photos of it because those photos had too many pixels for posting here. This was her first Met as a single women since her break with Tom Brady. I think this is my favorite dress at the gala.
