Re: Married at First Sight ---- Australia

Just read something that said the marriage ceremonies performed on the show were not REAL???  Then, what is the point of the show???  I mean, how can the "experts" be harping about committing to the "marriage", etc. when it's not even REAL???  I don't get it!!!

As far as I know, at least the marriages performed on the American version are real marriages, aren't they????  The experts are acting like, well, you need to share the bed, be intimate, blah, blah, blah, because you're married, and committed, and all that junk --- Why --- ??-- if there is no REAL marriage????

As far as the contestants having flings with other contestants while the show is going on, well, it doesn't seem to be the right thing to do, but, then, again, if they're not really married, then it's not like their breaking their marital vows, is it????

Anyone - can you clarify this for me????

That Steve is what my mom would have called "an odd duck".

There is some reason why he can't "perform". Doesn't even have the desire to.

Maybe only with young women, not those in his age bracket........based on that little scrap of what I think was his interview to be on the show that we won't see till next week where he wanted to be matched with a 30 something.

I am wondering the same thing...so now we are told that there will be a scandle told about next week?

I thought it was winding up and end on this last eposode!

So did they find that veiwers are liking this show  and now have extended shows to drag it out??

Not sure where this is going!...

Are we being duped thinking all was honky dory..and now what to change everything???

I'm not so sure now  what to think.Smiley Surprised.so i'm not going to think about it until next show...then will they have more shows and not end it right away?

darn..i started thinking againSmiley Frustrated

My mom would refer to anyone who didn't seem quite right in the head to her or who she considered to behave strangely or have what were to her off the wall ideas as an "odd duck". Where she ever got that saying from I have no clue.

Right from the get go I couldn't figure out what the heck she saw in him that she stuck with it so long. Aside from his inability to do the deed (for whatever the reason) she likes adventure and trying fun things. He on the other hand is a scaredy cat. I won't go so far as to say "sissy".

I think one of your 3 thoughts could be the right one!

Re: Married at First Sight ---- Australia

My theory about Steve is he is seriously under-developed and he's trying to save himself major embarrassment and Mishel major disappointment.

In his mind, if he can hold her off long enough, maybe somehow he can introduce the problem without it ruining their "loving" relationship and he can continue to sleep in his own bed undisturbed.

Actually, I think she's going to give him the old heave-ho.
