I couldn't wait to see this-Liam Neesom plays Philip Marlowe. The clothes from the forties are great. The cars, stupendous! The movie? Terrible. DH left the room about 3/4 of the way thru. I didn't stay much longer.

I'll bet that film cost a ton to make. I haven't read any reviews but all I can think is, 'bring back Bogie!'

I know. But you know what they say: 'There's something for everyone.' You might like it. So many people or usual suspects, I dunno who they all were. The two 'dames' looked so much alike you weren't sure who was who until the closeup. I kept thinking, what do they all have to do with the reason Marlowe was just looking for some guy who disappeared? I will say the movie was beautifully done. You really felt you were back there-in the forties.
