@grandma r wrote:Let's be real, Marie is making money and loves the spotlight. The "I lost 50 pounds with..." has run its course. And, to be fair, once a person sheds the pounds they've got to remain on that chemical food to maintain the weight. Just look at some of the previous celebrity spokespeople and how they've gain back the weight and more.
Marie is very concerned with her youthful looks. The hair (wigs or extensions), a few nips and tucks, etc. Yes, she lost weight, but, her fountain of youth isn't from nature.
Donny's either😄

I think I must be living in bizarroland where's it's become a negative for someone to want to work, and work often. And I can't think of anything easier to ignore than a commercial.

@proudlyfromNJ Really? I KNOW for d a m n sure if my beloved son killed himself I wouldn't be out entertaining in a week. A week, a day...I can't stand her for that and other reasons.

I have a friend whose Mother has Alzheimers. She believed their many letters that she was a winner. I would guess there are many old or uneducated people who are exploited by this company. Why put money over your reputation by joining up with a shady company?

@Love my grandkids That’s fine and that’s your decision and your business. It’s not necessary for everyone to agree with you or you to get angry about. There are a number people I can’t stand and I’m sure that’s the same for everyone.

Well, that's sad. but there is no money involved. I mean in sending in the envelopes. They just keep you hoping!
And I don't have alzheimers but really, everytime I thought hey I can win. Always waiting for whats his name to come to my door! Same with the lottery. I always expected to win. Why else would I do it? But after a few times, I get it. They aren't going to knock on my door and no I am not going to win.
But how many people keep playing the lottery every week, and keep believing? You don't have to have alzheimers and you can be intelligent as well.
You know-hope springs eternal.
Sometimes its just fun to dream.
But I don't like the lottery, cause that involves money that a lot of people need and spend instead on false hopes all the time-still there is that chance..

In regard to her going to work soon after her son died, maybe it was the only way she could keep from going insane.
I don't think its fair to judge how anyone deals with such a loss.
Maybe she had to immerse herself in the one thing that gave her life.
I know when I found a friend hanging from the ceiling, the one thing I wanted to see was beautiful things-flowers, colors, trees, to get that image out of my mind. You never know how you will react. You just don't know.
Maybe she wanted to die and just had to surround herself with others.
We just don't know unless we really knew her and were her friend.
Sometimes, maybe for her, it helped her feel like"the show must go on,"
if not for herself, then for her other children and husband.
It's something none of us ever want to go through.Sometimes you have to go through the motions of doing the most ordinary things which for her maybe was what she's done all her life.

@grandma r You told everyone let's be real. Everyone was being real. You didn't know that?
I think it's just an expression

@on the bay In the case I mentioned, there was money involved because the lady ordered the magazines. It got so bad that the family had to intercept the mail. She was also targeted by phone scammers so the family worked somehow with the phone company to only let certain numbers be put through.

Paula Abdul does commercials for Voltran for pain relief. Jay Leno did a Lifelock commercial. Jennifer Aniston does ads for Aveeno. There are a lot of stars who are very wealthy that do commercials. I don't believe everything I see or hear but it is my decision.I
Marie Osmond has never been my favorite but she does what she needs to make money. We just need to live our life the best we know how.
