Carrie Ann needs to take turns and not always go to Sharon first.

I don't think that I particularly believe Sharon's vociferous denials.  The more one protests, the more truth may exist behind the story. 

 

Sharon seems to wield a great deal of influence,  if not absolute control.  Carrie Ann is wonderful, and is reported to have tried to keep Marie.  Personality wise, Sharon overpowers her, in my viewing of the show.

Agree! While I only saw a handful of episodes with Marie, in general, she has always come across (IMO) as a class act and consummate professional. I can see how she could see phony to some, but I do think she possesses a rare quality that is genuine kindness.
