Manchester but the Sea... meh

This is my opinion after seeing this yesterday.

Sometimes I think if it touches me but not someone else, there has to be a personal experience there.

Of all things, I was touched by Amy Adam's performance in "Arrival." I'm sure not many were.❤

Maybe I was feeling blue on the day I saw Manchester, but I was totally depressed afterwards.

 

OTOH, I enjoyed Moonlight.

I agree it was very good.  It was a very thoughtful view of life's struggles.  He had to deal with so much, his brother's death and having to take on his nephew's future, as well with dealing anew the death's of his children, his home and his marrage.  Quite alot for an actor.

I really enjoyed this movie and would like to see Casey Affleck receive the Oscar.

I also found Amy Adams' performance in "Arrival" moving and memorable, lovestoteach.
