Re: MY FAVORITE FILM NOIR OF ALL TIME, MONDAY, 8:00 P.M. EASTERN, TCM

@Oznell   I can never think of Carolyn Jones (yep, that's she all right in the photo!) without thinking of House of Wax!  I watched that film over and over again as a teen; it was on TV a lot.

Thanks for your review, Oznell.

I didn't realize that.  I'll have to look ahead at the guide for other movies I may want to record.  I hope they show "Dear Heart".  It's one of my favorites!

I will be watching tonight with my husband. He is beginning to like film noir although Westerns are his favorite.

By the way Carolyne Jones played Morticia on The Adams Family.

That series was foolishly funny.

Yeah, @Pearlee and @Catiele, there's something about her I've always liked.  The former Mrs. Aaron Spelling.  She has a fragile quality.  I've always thought of her as a sultry brunette, as per "Morticia" and other roles:

But apparently she did go blonde too:

Watching the scene where Glenn Ford confronts Lagana in his lavish home during a party.  Love Ford's righteous anger in the face of corruption-- great scene...

Wow, you must really like this movie @Oznell . That's how I feel about the movie Laura. If I posted pictures I would probably have to go in and watch it and I don't have time right now. (it must be the right time and the right mood)! I love how you posted the pics and the comments on each. You truly missed your calling, friend.

This is the movie with the hot coffee in the face, right?

That's right, @Judaline -- a real shocker that lingers, almost like a much more brutal version of Cagney's "grapefruit in the face" with Mae Clark...

TCM is showing "Dear Heart" on July 23 at 7 AM and also on September 29 at 3:45 PM.

It's clear why it would be a favorite, @Oznell   Glenn Ford was perfect. As were the other players.

In case anyone missed it or didn't record it, it will be repeated September 21.  I will have to schedule it since dog-walking interrupted part of the beginning.

But who could resist this face?

I am, however, with @Judaline in that Laura is still my favorite classic.
