Prime time has several of her blockbusters in succession, starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, with "The Maltese Falcon", "Dodsworth", and at midnight Eastern, her soapy romantic triangle with George Brent and Bette Davis, "The Great Lie".

While I am not as familiar with Mary Astor's films except of course The Maltese Falcon and The Big Lie, I will be checking out the choices and putting those of interest on my DVR. Thanks for the heads up, time to acquaint myself with more of her roles!

@spiderw Dodsworth is a an excellent movie with the great Walter Huston in the title role. Highly recommend.
Have never seen The Big Lie, will record it.
The Maltese Falcon is a classic.
She was also in Meet Me in St. Louis.
@Oznell I "googled" her and she made a lot of movies. The only other one I remember her in is Red Dust with Harlow/Gable.

Adored her in Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte... "Ruin finery is all I got"... "I'm stoney broke".
What an actress.

I thought everybody had seen Dodsworth. One of the better old movies.
The gal who played Dods wife everybody said reminds them of me LOL
Vain and such LOL
I loved that old woman who plays the young German guy's mother who thinks he's in love wtih Dods wife. When she tells her to her face "your old"
LOL Ouch ! that floored the ol' gal.

Unforgettable in that "small" but oh-so-crucial role.
Bette Davis: "You notice they're not touching HER property!"

Dodsworth was Maria Ouspenskaya's first Hollywood film. And she kept up her sharp remarks in Waterloo Bridge.
