Re: MAFS - season in Chicago

@AngelPuppy1 I don't think anyone thinks that what David and Madison did was right.  We all agree that they should have refrained until after the 8 weeks or gone to the producers and confessed how they felt.

BUT, Michelle was treating David like cr@p before she ever knew he was lying to her.  She started treating him with that put down attitude at the wedding reception.  She never looked him in the eye or looked in his direction when they were having conversations.  At group get togethers she couldn't roll her eyes enough.  If she had to sit next to him, she would pull her shoulders in so they wouldn't touch.  Her body language spoke volumes.

I am surprised that David was as nice to her as he was for as long as he was.  She is not likeable.  Until the "lie" came out, most of the couples didn't care for her.  On the Afterparty shows, they all told David how they felt sorry for him.  The whole thing was handled poorly.

After a year, it seems that the only one that is miserable is Michelle.  Even Allen has forgiven and moved on and he actually cared for the person he was matched with.

My takeaways: *  adultery is wrong

                          *  forgiveness can be a wonderful thing,                                        especially for the forgiver

                           * this show really doesn't want matches,

                              but drama for ratings

                            * the "experts" are a joke

They're being so evasive about the time line of events. Hook them up to a lie detector! 😅

@SportyShorty07

YES!  After all of this, they still won't fess up because they are both total liars and have no respect for others!  They wanted what they wanted and didn't care who they hurt.  It's pretty bad when you can look 2 people in the eyes and never flinch and lie over and over and over again.

@AngelPuppy1  Excellent points! YES!! Michelle isn't mad that they're together, she's mad that they lied to her and everyone else over and over. Madison and David should have told everyone about their feelings for each other early on instead of catting around behind the scenes week after week.

Re: MAFS - season in Chicago

I just saw a Utube video on FB of Juan and it was rather shocking what is supposedly happening to him. I shouldn't comment on this until I know all the facts and it's not what I consider a spoiler because the show is essentially over in my book.

 Here's basically what he's saying is happening to him: "He's being blackmailed by some entity (who or whom I'm not completely sure), it does not  involve the show and him supposedly breeching his NDA, that is his Non-Disclosure contract with I'm guessing Kinetic producers.

  He said he never revealed anything that was not already said on the show, and he was very careful to respect Karla and not  break his legal contract regarding any disclosure.

He Isn't stupid, he does have a lawyer on standby and will retain him if need be.

   He mentioned the fact that Karla was not his physical type and the tarot and sage and other was getting to be too much and not something he wanted to deal with for the rest of his life.

 He also mentioned her living out of her storage unit and not renewing her lease. One thing he said that I did not know was that Karla did not quit her job, she was fired by her boss. She supposedly had some ties to a NY job but it wasn't a very solid lead.

 Juan mentioned his new girlfriend, how happy they are, and he hopes they don't come after her. ???

He did enjoy MAFS, and yes, he said he and Karla pretty much friended each other and decided to have a good time and make the best of it. He had no ill will towards her and vice versa, at least while they were filming. Not sure now what's going on and who's involved. He hinted at her family being upset but stopped himself.

Edited to add: If you want the real scoop> " look on his IG under Juan Franco" for complete details. I also clarified above (NDA info) that this is not about the MAFS producers.

Re: MAFS - season in Chicago

Just want to add that I never had any negative things to say over the course of the season, about this couple, Juan and Karla. Well her attire at the get together in Juan's crib or warehouse was less than appropriate and a little surprising. Yes, I admit to thatSmiley Happy

 I don't like gossip and the reason I like this group is because you're all intelligent women that think through what you post, unlike the gossip mongers elsewhere on social medialand. I have seen fights over the most trivial details and it's just a reality TV show.

@Lisa now in AZ

He wrote a book about how to be a good wife?  Are you kidding me?  What in the heck would he know about that?  He should write a book about how to be a good husband -- but he wouldn't know anything about that either!  This guy is delusional.

He has dark energy. He gaslights and manipulates. Very dangerous person emotionally. Whatever cracks or issues Emem had he played on.

@manny2

Yes -- you sure nailed that about him.  He is a scary person.  And he sure knew how to destroy Em emotionally.

Yes!  Oh, brother --- he thinks he is so with it with the way he talks!  It just makes him sound so totally stupid, as far as I'm concerned.

I agree, @pattypeep , along with whipping his hair mop back and forth.

@tends2dogs

Ugh - that hair of his?  He must think it is glorious. Well, it's not.  If he must keep it long - then, he should at least keep it in a man bun.  It's gag worthy to me....

@tends2dogs

I agree that Michelle could have been nicer to him but I think she was o.k. in not pretending that she was attracted to him or felt that she had any notion about him being right for her.  The whole thing in a nutshell was that David and Madison should have waited until the 8 weeks were over and once they were found out, they should not have lied to both Michelle and Alan.  Period.

Yes - you are right -- the show just wants ratings and they don't care who is really matched for good or who is hurt in the process!
