Remember about a year and a half ago when the Harvey Weinstein scandal was in the news and Felicity Huffman said that Harvey strongarmed her to wear his wife's Marchesa brand gowns on the red carpet or he wouldn't promote her movie "TransAmerica"? It looks like Felicity can play just as down and dirty with her prestige as an actor too to get her kids into the "right schools" by paying someone so her kids can fake a learning disability so they can get more time taking an SAT and getting their scores improved by bribing the proctors. So I wonder if she and her husband William H. Macy will really be welcome on the big screen when people remember what they did to cheat and game the system.

I didn't burn mine, but I did gather up the Target Mossimo clothes I had including jeans, tops and scarves and donated them as I won't wear clothes associated with this brand anymore.
That, of course, is an individual choice, but the brand is a world-wide fashion brand that is sold at numerous retail outlets and is no longer even owned by Loughlin's husband... I don't believe I own much, if anything, from this brand but to the extent i do, I purchased it with my money and prior to any of this happening and have no intention of ridding myself of items that I obtained honestly simply to make a statement. Each to their own, but while they did wrong, those purchasing items from this brand didn't.
I would not feel comfortable wearing clothes with a brand name that I no longer support. Those Mossimo jeans have the name printed on the inside of the waistband so it can't be removed. And I would know those clothes were Mossimo if I wore them and that's all that matters to me. I also don't support or wear Nike anymore and dumped a Nike jacket last year when the scandal about how the women employees were treated became news. I will no longer buy or wear anything with a Nike label or logo on it including shoes. And their athletic shoes always fit me nicely too.

I did watch a good news story about a champion pole vaulter who's picture was inserted as one of the parents children.
His mother said yes that was her son, that picture is on our refrigerator.
When they asked him how he felt, he laughed and said royalties? (re the picture).
They also interviewed some college students who said they felt badly for kids that had good credentials but were unable to get in because of money or because others took their place from cheating (paraphrasing).
So I'm sure there will be more stories coming out from those who got in on their own merit.
Hopefully giving kids and parents a good example. Not that we have to be shown this if we have any honesty or morals.
I recenty read one of Lori Laughlin's interviews and it was really shocking how she talked about wanting her kids to work hard, the right values etc etc. I really am surprised about her. And her daughter-jeez. Sound's like the kind of people who have no remorse for doing anything to get what they want, only if they get caught.

@on the bay Yes, I believe I saw that same interview. This just exemplifies (in my mind) how important it is that we (as individuals) speak up and think for ourselves.
If we were to believe the news media and what's in the newspapers society is all about 'group think'.
However, I talk to people (strangers) all of the time. Based on my conversations (with total strangers whom I'll never see again) we are still a country primarily of individual thinkers.
I've always been irritated at famous people TRYING (key word trying) to tell me what's good for me and how I should think and feel.
I realize I'm about to use group think here (so please excuse me). However, it does seem that so many of these famous people who get on their high horse do the exact opposite of what they tell us we should be doing.
Kinda says something.....doesn't it.

YEAH
Another example of "entitlement" for the wealthy.
The kids went to college illegally why should they keep their degrees even if they passed all their classes. They did not pass the entrance exam on their own. Admission was based on fraud and someone else missed the opportunity to go.

She will move her production to Ion or WE or OWN or even Lifetime.
She won't get the money she currently gets to start, but I believe she will be back, like Martha, and stronger and worth more money.
Maybe, maybe not... Martha had more of a multi-faceted empire than does Loughlin that also didn't include her starring in a series of TV shows playing a 'heroine'... I also don't personally think her 'scandal' was seen by many at the time as being as onerous. Indeed, I think a lot of people felt that Martha was 'being made an example of', so to speak. In addition, Martha never tried to paint herself as the proverbial girl next door of strong 'faith', which Loughlin has, of course, made a career of doing... I think Loughlin will bounce back in some capacity, but I'm not sure her career will ever fully recover... On top of everthing else, she's not getting any younger in an industry that most clearly seems to value youth over experience...
I agree with you on Martha Stewart's crimes being seen as less egregious than Loughlin's. Anyone who has ever applied to college........or had a child who has applied to college.....and been denied.....is FURIOUS over this. I don't see Lori coming back from this at all.

My comments weren't at all meant as a challenge to your point of view, which I respect. Honestly, as stated, it's an individual choice. There are several brands and entities I avoid based on my perception and opinion of various aspects of their operation or principles... That said, while there are brands, retailers, eateries, etc, I no longer patronize, purely as a matter of practicality, I don't usually choose to opt out of what I might already own.

This is what gets to me also. I am not a fan of Lori Loughlin and I don't watch Hallmark but I have seen her interviewed. Hypocrisy is really hard to take.
