Looking for DVDs and movie suggestions

I am looking for some good DVDs to rent as well as any good current movies to go see with my husband.... Ideas? I love dramas, comedies and of course chick flicks. Course my husband loves anything dealing with history / military especially . Neither of us like the 007 type. A good action pack ok but no car chasing bang EM up kind. Thanks.

My grands and I seen Tomorrowland a week ago and Jurasic World yesterday...both very good movies....

Most of my DVD's are kid stuff other then Annie...both versions...old and re-make....fun...

I don't know your age, but if you like the music of the 1950's and 1960's, you might enjoy The Wrecking Crew. It is a documentary about studio/session musicians at that time made by the son of one of the leading guitarists. It is available as a rental.

I DVR'D The Judge a couple of weeks back and just watched it on Sunday. I thought it was very good. I liked it much better than Gone Girl which I had seen the night before. Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall star in it. I believe Robert Duvall was nominated for best supporting actor at the Oscars this year.
