@sunshine 919 I won't spoil the ending to the revival show in case someday you watch it. Trust me when I say that you would hardly recognize the character of Rory from the original series.
At the conclusion of the original series, Rory went off to start her career in journalism. Happy ending. That wasn't how the show was supposed to end. The showrunners (Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, Daniel Padillo) left the show at the end of the sixth season. Sherman-Palladino had said that she knew the series would end with four words spoken in the final scene, but that never happened when the new showrunners came on board for the seventh (and final) season.
However, when the revival came along the Palladinos were back in charge and they had the chance to end the revival as they had intended to end the original series - with those same four words that changed everything.
I'm so glad that the original series ended the way it did and not the way it was originally supposed to.
