Re: Lisa Brown (Nola Readon Chamberlin) has died

The only soap I watched was Guiding Light and she was fantastic.

Sympathies to all of her dear ones.

@feline groovy  wasn't she? I rememer watching Guiding light with my aunt and you could't open your mouth while the show was on. First it was 30 minutes and then it expanted to an hour. My other Aunt lived up stairs and if she was late to watch the show and she rang the bell, we couldn't answer until there was a commercial. Those  days  in the Bronx were the best.

I bet they were; nice memories.

My best friend at the time got me hooked on GL when it was first known as 'The Guiding Light' and we would watch after school.  I was hooked after that.

Re: Lisa Brown (Nola Readon Chamberlin) has died

I use to listen to it on radio before Tv.   We didn,t get a TV until I was 11.

I then  watched in later years when I was a home make started watching soaps.

GL and ATWT.  Watched for years even taped when I went to work.

When I was a teen, my Grandmother watched..  We lived in SF and when we went downtown, and it was time for those soaps, we would go into  Penny,s or the Emporium, pretending to buy a Tv and they would have armchairs in the TV dept. So we would sit and watch.  This was way before VCR,s

Brought back good memories.

Then years later when I watched my grandson, I would put him down for a nap when the two soaps were on. Watched both until they were gone.
