RIP Eddie Haskell❤️
Osmond played Eddie Haskell—the smart-mouthed best friend of Wally Cleaver— on the '50s TV show. The fan-favorite character was originally only meant to appear as an infrequent guest star, however, Osmond's stand out performance quickly ensured he'd appear regularly over Leave It to Beaver's six seasons.
In addition to his acting career, Osmond joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1970 where he worked as an officer until his retirement in 1988.

The Eddie Haskell character was a brilliant conception: he really added a nice edge to that show.
Wonderful that the actor had a great life after the show ended.

Just watched an episode this morning in which he told Beaver that Ward wouldn't let him keep a sports car he won in a raffle. It was from 1960 and the car was valued at $3500. Ken would have been 16 when they did that show. Good wishes and peace to his family.

Hard to believe Eddie Haskell was 76 years old. Where do all the years go?

Sad to hear this. He was sooo good in that role.

When I was growing up I didn't watch Leave It To Beaver. I watched a lot of sitcoms but not that particular one
With METV I started to watch Leave It To Beaver in the early morning hours. Of course needless to say it is dated. However, I noticed something I probably wouldn't have cared about when the show was popular. There are morals to the stories and as an adult I see them clear as a bell.
Eddie Haskell's character was funny and he did his part to add a different type of character in the series. I find him entertaining when he pops up in an episode. May he be at peace with God and know that so many years after the show was on, I have become a fan!!!!!
