Re: Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (Season 3)

@VaBelle35

I didn't realize this was on again.

I only watched a few segments of the original series, but found it so frustrating and infuriating I had to stop.  How do they get away with some of the craziness that goes on?  I do enjoy Leah, however.

Having worked for the Congressman who went down to Guyana (was subsequently murdered) to investigate Jim Jones, the whole idea of cults sickens me.

It is hard for me to understand how people can get swept into these things.  Then, there are those like Tom C. who are wildly successful and none of the insanity seems to matter.

I guess if I want to try to understand any of it, I'll have to start watching...but not sure I can Cat LOL

@Witchy Woman

The answer to all of your questions is money.

Leah also posted about a police chief in Florida who is finally be investigated and had to turn over his emails for his relationship to Scientology.

Their real estate holdings are incredible and they don't pay taxes.

@VaBelle35 Are there going to be any new episodes? I watched all the other ones when they originally aired.

Re: Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (Season 3)

I've yet to hear about any new episodes, but I keep hoping so I keep my Pass so they will record if they happen.

I love what Mike and Leah are doing, and many others also.   I hate brainwashing.   I also hope they find a way to remove their tax-free status.  No organization beyond a pure charity should be tax exempt.

Nothing about new episodes, but I could see her doing a special with any updates that come out.

Heard Leah will be hosting a new game show, so maybe she is busy with that.
