Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (Season 3)

I think they deleted the other thread I started on this as I can't find it.

I just watched the previous episode on Shelly Miscavige.

The opening to this week's episode is pretty funny.  I guess they held some space to put in the church's weekly objection and they didn't receive a letter, so they just said they didn't get a letter this week.

My husband and I watch this show religiously ( ha-ha). Cannot believe what goes on behind the scenes of this" religion ". Hard to believe so many seemingly intelligent people fall for this.

Re: Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (Season 3)

The guy who spent over $200k and got to OT4 or whatever was really embarassed about having given them so much money.  I know Leah is mad about that, too.  I think she said she got up to $5m.

They re-run it.

This was the last episode in the series.

There are only civil law suits.  Nothing criminal has come out of this yet.

Re: Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (Season 3)

I watched the final episode of the series last night. I CANNOT believe that with all these brave people coming forward, there is still not enough evidence to press criminal charges against this organization. There must be a lot of rich powerful people involved in this disgusting cover-up. If the Catholic Church can be investigated, why not Scientology? If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, chances are it's a duck. I can't believe in the age of the #MeToo movement and #Times Up, that this ****** is allowed to continue and evidently flourish. Sorry for the rant, but this ****** really pisses me off.

I have forgotten who runs the series, the channel.  I missed it, I guess.  Will there be a new season?  Wonder where the wife is;  is she alive?

I do wonder about the wife, SM. As with most situations, until it makes the right people angry -- nothing much will happen. When I watch this show I'm reminded religion is man made.
