Re: Laurence of Arabia - HATE not "getting" a classic!!

I'm reminded of the Noel Coward quote:

If he had been any prettier, it would have been Florence of Arabia.

Love the film, love O'Toole.  My favorite double feature of all time was Lawrence of Arabia and The Lion in Winter at the Varsity Theatre in Palo Alto in the 70s. Heart

speaking of "classic" movies that supposedly everyone loves, am I the only person on planet earth that hates "It's A Wonderful Life"?

I can't grab the remote fast enough when that shows up.

I never could get into Laurence of Arabia either. My best friend was such a fan and I really tried. I got more out of the English Patient and that wasn't easy.

The only thing worth watching in Lawrence of Arabia is Omar Sharif. 😘

O’Toole: I prefer The Lion in Winter.
