@I like celery wrote:If anyone saw the most recent episode of Real Housewives of OC, Tamra, Shannon, and Vicki had more than 15 shots in one night during their trip to Mexico! I don't know how they managed to get up the next morning (let alone survived the night). I would be feeling like ****** if I had 2 shots. lol
@I like celery I don't understand how women their age can drink so much, must have built up somewhat of an immunity, but sooner or later, they will have to stop or suffer physical consequences, I would think, maybe once the show is over they will. I bet Bravo encourages it as it certainly produces more drama, lol.
I truly do not know how they survived the night, after drinking 15+ shots. The camera showed the various times, and I counted along with them when they were "reviewing" their night. Even if water had been in a few of the shots made to look like alcohol (which I doubt), they still drank a ton of alcohol in one short night. Yikes.

I haven't been watching the show this season. It's the same thing every season (they get drunk and attack each other and make fools of themselves).
As far as the drinking. I have never understood why (for the most part) people consume large amounts of wine, get drunk and think....."well, it's wine so it's OK".
Last time I checked wine is alcohol and capable of making people drunk.
These women are the most selfish people I've seen on TV. (That's a big statement). What bothers me is they do have families. If they want to make fools of themselves, that's one thing, but they do have families who, I'm sure gets grief from some of their relative's antics.
I'm glad I don't know them or aren't related to them. The sad part is because they have money they look 'down' on other's.

Good grief, if you're not having fun watching the show, why bother?

@this is my nic wrote:You mentioned the amount of alcohol these women consume. I don't know how they do it and still function. Evidently, Luann went back into rehab. Good for her. But for the rest of the cast, oh my goodness! I don't know how they stay so thin; alcohol has loads of calories. Maybe, they just drink and not eat. Lots of workout outs? None are exactly good examples for their children no matter how financially successful they have become.
They may not drink as much as they seem to. We see what Bravo elects to show us. You figure these women are filmed pretty much non-stop for a certain period of time. More is not shown than is shown. We see the vacations, the dinners and the nights out which all involve alcohol.
However, my old neighbor was really thin and she drank a lot. But she never ate. Once she quit drinking and started eating, she put on quite a bit of weight.
Good point @Lipstickdiva. These shows are all heavily edited so the audience sees what they want us to see... That said, I still think several of these women consume a lot of booze... If Dorinda goes off the rails the way she does, even if she isn't objectively drinking a lot, she's drinking too much for her system to handle...
No doubt Dorinda has a problem. Anyone that acts the way she does when they drink should never drink.
I would never want to be around someone who acted like that.

Last nights episode 8/6 was interesting with the new girl cutting up on Vicki already.....It was kind of funny! I like her.....I actually like both of the new girls so far.....Kelly needs to give it a rest, Vicki gets it, I hope!! Can Kelly be anymore childish-sitting up in a restaurant acting like a teenager with that guy? I mean, Really??Kissing like that, it was really embarassing for the other ladies as well.
Sorry just noticed I posted on NY Housewives thread!!!!! lol!
