Lu showed once again that she can take a lot from people, without going off the rails.  I respect that.  I like how she can stand up for herself, without getting really nasty (like Dorinda). She seems to be willing to try to move on afterwards, too.

She also looks great in a bikini

@I like celery It's an eye roller... Oh my, to actually use the word qwap... How very risque... Honestly, these boards border on the ridiculous for what they'll allow and what they won't...

I don't drink either, but at one time I did drink socially.  If one drinks on a regular basis, like daily or at least several times a week, they don't experience the effects you or I would.  A full glass of wine would put me under the table.

If all these drinking episodes are edited out of normal day to day scenes why would these women want to be shown in a constant level of inebriation?  They are all wealthy, they don't need the $$$ that the show pays. Additionally, most are business women and/or involved in various charities.  Being shown the way they are on the progam is not in their favor.

But, what do I know about life in the big city among the who's who of high society?  I grew up in a small town and have lived in small towns around the country as an adult.  Maybe what we see is typical daily life for wealthy society women.

Who knows what floats in any given location, but personally, I wouldn't confuse the semi-'socialite' status of some of these women with any of them being remotely 'high society'... I also suspect their pay check for doing RH is nice chunk of change... on top of which many of them have been able to use their involvement with the show to further other business interests... And, added to all that, each of them has become somewhat of a television 'celebrity', which must mean something to some of them...

Yep, while Lu's made a bit of an ass out of herself more than once... and falling drunk in the bushes aside, she does seem always to try to handle herself and her interactions with others with at least a modicum of dignity...

LOL that's the word I used the other day and thought it was acceptable.  I think it's a lot more tame than some other words I've seen here.

I'd agree Stevie.  Even when she's been hurt and disrespected, she's very willing to make up, not hold grudges and seemingly move on.

yes...she does handle difficult situations with dignity. I know many dislike Lu but she doesn't bother me now that she has come down a few pegs from The Countess.

I hope she can make amends with her kids and The Count. I am rooting for her.

If anyone saw the most recent episode of Real Housewives of OC, Tamra, Shannon, and Vicki had more than 15 shots in one night during their trip to Mexico!  I don't know how they managed to get up the next morning (let alone survived the night).  I would be feeling like ****** if I had 2 shots. lol

@I like celery  I don't understand how women their age can drink so much, must have built up somewhat of an immunity, but sooner or later, they will have to stop or suffer physical consequences, I would think, maybe once the show is over they will.  I bet Bravo encourages it as it certainly produces more drama, lol.
