I would rather him than Ken Jennings. However I suspect the reason Jennings was hired as some kind of Consultant at the beginning of this season was because they were grooming him to be able to step in when the time came. Oh well...

I read an interview with Jennings online a few months ago about this. He said (at tha time) he's not interested as he doesn't need the money, has written a lot of books and at the time was writing another one, and was spending time with his family.

We shall see. I'm not taking anything for granted.

Alex Trebek's last taped show will be shown on December 25.

He was great on Reading Rainbow

Alex will be an impossible class act to follow for anyone

Reading Rainbow was DD's favorite show. She actually wasn't allowed to see many. To this day when she sees LeVar Burton she shouts "Rainbow," as she called him when she was a toddler!

I can't see him hosting Jeopardy. It's going to have to be a special person- smart, classy, TOLERANT, and with a sense of humor.

It's going to be sad to see his last show.  Wish it wouldn't be on Christmas Day as that should be a happy day.
