Due to the timing, I'm wondering if she was really told that they wouldn't be renewing her next contract. 

Did anyone else notice that she's staying through next April?    I think her  early announcement was just to publicly put out feelers for new projects starting next summer.   JMO

@SharkE, I used to watch Right This Minute after KLG & Hoda, but they replaced it with a stupid show with two women that call themselves Frangela.  I can't turn the channel fast enough when they come on.  I just turn it over to a news channel for the background noise.

Kathy has been a part of our mornings for decades.  I still remember when she was Mrs. Johnson (first husband) and appearing and singing on Good Morning America with Joan Lunden and David Hartman.

I think she will probably not be on as much as they "try out" different people for the role.

I think Jenna will be her replacement. I  think Hoda too will leave after Jenna settles in.

Both Kathy and Hoda appear to have outgrown the show and the interest just isn't there as it was in the past years. JMO

Kathy Lee has bern "off" lately.  Either she's bored stiff or she doesn't feel well.  She acts as though it's a huge effort to get out of her seat and move around the set when she must.  Too bad she has to stay until April.
