I don't know if anyone else has seen the news that came out about the ACLU today. They're trying to insist that JD pay them $86,000 for the time they had to spend providing the evidence of AH's lack of donations to the charity!
Excuse me? The court said they had to provide the information and they wouldn't have had to, if AH had donated the amount she said she would. Shouldn't they be looking to her to pay for their expenses?
And I wonder how long she'll remain an ACLU spokesperson after all this?

Jury Going Home! Will resume deliberations tomorrow 9amET
@MorningLover - OMG, I nearly had a heart attack, when I saw that "Just announced..."
I thought it was the verdict. Guess we'll be waiting for at least another day. I have a friend arriving from England tomorrow for a two-week visit. I know she'll understand that I want to see the result of this trial.

On Court TV today they talked about the online followers and how closely they are following the case. Court TV has a "social media specialist" on their crew.
She talked about an eagle-eye trial watcher who noticed the concealer makeup palette that Amber waved around when she was on the stand and said she used to cover her bruises was a lie. Elaine held up the same compact during her closing. Someone located the compact online found it was the brand Milani. As it turns out this particular compact was not available until 2017! The Milani company even verified this online.

@soxfan - Yes, the Milani compact was mentioned way back in this thread (not sure which post) and it was discussed that the company put out a disclaimer as soon as they became aware that Elaine claimed that was the compact Heard used. They sent the information to Depp's legal team.
BTW, did you see that when AH got on the stand for the last time, she held up a completely different "bruise kit" to explain to the jury how you use one to cover bruises? And she said "Of course, this isn't the exact kit I used..." blah, blah, blah.
Guess they wanted to cover themselves for the previous glaring error (lie).
ETA: Also, to most of us, we'd call it a concealer kit. But to those in theatrics it's called a bruise kit - because it's used to create "bruises".

@soxfan Amber and her attorney didn't do their research or concoct a very good sham of a story. First, the attorney was waving the Milani corrective compact around saying how Amber had to carefully mix the colors based on the changing colors of her bruising, in order to conceal them. Then it came out, by Milani, that the corrective compact didn't even hit the market until a year later than when AH claimed to have used it. All of a sudden the attorney changed her tune to say it was compact like the Milani one. What a pair! 🤦♀️

@Venezia I didn't realize the compact was already discussed on here. And here I thought I'd read all the posts. lol. I do remember her (AH) comments that you mentioned. I found them odd at the time but this new (to me) info makes sense now.
Thanks for clarifying.

Speaking of trial watchers paying attention do you remember those text messages Rottenborn attributed to Johnny during his 2nd time on the stand that Johnny vehemently denied writing? Remember, there were previous text messages that Johnny admitted came from him but the ones presented last Thursday he denied. Apparently some eagle eyes noticed that the messages supposedly written by Johnny and sent to his personal assistant showed as incoming. If they were sent by Johnny they would have been outgoing. Here's a link that shows the texts.

@SusieQ_2 - Well, isn't that interesting?! I hope the jury has had that pointed out to them. As for AH and her team, they've told so many lies, what's one or two more?
As an aside, I wanted to know what his situation was when those two very odd texts were supposedly sent. Was he laying on a hospital gurney? Being treated? And did he even have his phone with him or was it back at his home, where someone else could access it?

Why did AH and her team constantly refer to the makeup she used as a bruise kit? I know she says she used it to cover bruises but those palettes are called color corrector palettes not bruise kits. When they come in one color it's called concealer.I have one myself to cover dark circles under my eyes but don't refer to it as a dark circle kit. And, btw, I've yet to find one that completely covers my dark circles. Yet, the Milani kit was able to cover the bruises one would sustain from being beaten in the face by a man wearing big chunky rings so many times she blacked out?
AH would be well aware that makeup artists in Hollywood use bruise kits, however, they're used to create the look of a bruise not cover them up. Here is a typical bruise kit.
Honest mistake? You be the judge but I don't think so.

I don't think the lawyers caught the text errors before the jury got the case.
I can't be positive because I've listened to so many different channels but I'm pretty sure at least one channel was reporting it Thursday night. I wish Johnny's lawyers had caught it in time but I think we would have known if they did.
