Going by the name of this movie I was about to pass on it but it was recommended to me so I watched.  So glad I did.  

It was about a little German boy during WWII fiercely nationalistic yet discovers that his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic.  Upon discovering this, his emotions run the gamut and in the end he loves her.

Starring Scarlet Johannsen, Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson to name a few. 

It will shock you, make you smile, make you laugh and make you cry.

Just finished the first season of McCleod's Daughters...there are all 8 seasons on Amazon Prime...and each season has 22 episodes...and it's very good!

Why would Jo Jo's mother take such a risk ( yes I know she was fighting for what she believed in)? Poor JoJo had to see his mother hanging in the town square as a lesson to all, leaving him all alone.

Saw the last hour and decided to record it so I could watch it from the beginning.  I like it and I don't like it... if that makes any sense.  But I will begin at the beginning see the whole movie.

@germanshepherdlove  Saw this is the theater (remember these??) when it first came out.  I thought it was wonderful and will rewatch at home.  It does take you on an emotional roller coaster and just so worth watching.

Just saw it for the first time. Very cool. Creative approach to several important subjects and entertaining. Touched me. I’m looking forward to seeing more from this director from New Zealand.
