Re: Jessica Simpson's excessive 100 pound weight loss

She's an alcoholic who finally got sober.  As a result, she lost weight and made it a point to eat healthy and exercise.  She looks fabulous.

As long as she's healthy, that's what matters.

I think that she looks great. She actually looks younger. More power to her and I hope that she doesn't gain the weight back.

Yes, my husband has had problems getting his injectables for his diabetes, both from the insurance company not wanting to pay for a "weight loss drug" to the pharmacies not having them in stock due to them being used for weight loss purposes.  Its maddening, because he needs the drug to keep his A1c under control.

It is OBVIOUS that she has an eating disorder....anyone who gains 100 pounds and loses 100 pounds or more more than once has an eating disorder. She is in the anorexia phase now....probably bulimia involved as well.

I see all the same symptoms in her. It does not just go away.  It NEVER goes away....You need to get help to keep it under control. Therapy and talking about the issues that started it all.  That is the key. I am sure her family has lived with her eating disorders for years....it is a " family" related sickness..

I have had similar issues over my younger years.....mine started when my parents divorced at age 12 and my eating disorders spiraled out of control for many years into my late 20's until I got a handle on it and now am free of the "Monster" but, ONLY with daily work and prayer. It is really a physiological disorder that affects the brain much like a drug.

I hope she gets help because she could end up like Karen Carpenter and die from heart failure or the like. It is very hard on the heart losing and gaining weight to THAT DEGREE. heart failure suddenly can happen out of  nowhere

@Linmo She is NOT healthy.  She is thin....that does not mean healthy

Re: Jessica Simpson's excessive 100 pound weight loss

Here's my two cents then I'm zipping it.  There's something so odd that her head is tipped like that in those pictures.  I say this only because when she was live on HSN a few months ago, her head was constantly tipped that way.  It looked uncomfortable and unnatural.  Granted, sometimes people pose differently for photos.  But seeing it on TV sitting there with her head in that position for a while made me question her health.

@pookie44907  I'm with your husband, I was unable to get my Ozempic for several weeks, finally found it 3 weeks ago but in the meantime my blood sugars went wild. It made me so angry...diabetics rely on their access to medications to live, not to lose weight. Shame on the drug companies for supplying it under a different name and shame on the doctors that Rx it for weightloss.

@pookie44907 why would your insurance company think it's a weight loss drug?  It's FDA approved for diabetes, not weight loss.  The doctors who are prescribing it for weight loss are doing so off-label and I wonder if there might be other health consequences for doing so.  Sounds like the person approving drugs at your insurance company needs to get off Tik Tok and get an education.
