I am an avid fan of the Jesse Stone series which is based on detective novels written by Robert B. Parker...Tom Selleck is fantastic in his portrayal as a Police Chief who is struggling with alcoholism, difficulty in bonding with his adorable dog, and dealing with divorce, while living isolated in a very lovely home overlooking the ocean...I love the complexity of his character and how it intertwines all of these facets in his life...I also want to mention William Devane who is great in his portrayal as Jesse Stone's psychiatrist!
In my opinion, it is one of the best TV productions which has been lost amongst so much pathetic junk on TV, and I don't understand why it hasn't become a weekly series and receive the recognition that it deserves!
So, I just wanted to inform all other Jesse Stone Fans that a new Jesse Stone movie has been made and will premiere tomorrow night (Sunday, Oct. 17th)...9-11 pm...on the Hallmark Channel..."Jesse Stone: Lost In Paradise".
It is my understanding that Tom Selleck is very interested in continuing this very popular series and is working with writer/producer Michael Brandman on future segments!
Well written, acted, produced and directed!...Can you tell I love the Jesse Stone series!...LOL

Tom Selleck was just on The Talk this week. He was mainly talking about the police show he's on but he was asked about the Stone series.
I am sorry, I didn't hear what he said, but you might look it up and see if he has more coming along.

@10sluvr...It's my understanding that it is new and just made this year...I would love to see more also and, especially, made into a weekly series.

I also love Tom Selleck in Jesse Stone but was disappointed that it's on the Hallmark channel because I don't have that channel.

I don't think Tom Selleck can make weekly TV shows for Jesse Stone since he already stars in Blue Bloods each week.

@Annabellethecat66... Yes, Tom Selleck and writer/producer Michael Brandman are planning on continuing the series...I have read that Tom Selleck is approached by many fans who have expressed their love for this show and want it to continue...It has had over 13 million viewers which attests to its popularity.
eta:...I just saw your post regarding "Blue Bloods"...I do like this show also, but my personal opinion is that Jesse Stone is much more intriguing!
