I could've sworn I read they were strongly urging her to take three weeks for proper treatment and rest, and the show's PTB expressed confidence O'Connell could hold the ratings during her absence.

No one wants her to risk a relapse.

Of course, I read that on the internet. -ha!

JO'C was a frontrunner in the search for a replacement for Michael Strahan.  He co hosted many times with Kelly Ripka, and they had great chemistry.

The only negative was he was the kiss of death.  He starred in several TV series that lasted for less than a season.

Personally I liked him so much better than Ryan Seacrest.

@lulu1 I saw him with Kelly and was sure he would be the pick. Bet she is sorry now. He is very witty, I really think he should have his own show.

Like Jerry very much. I think he is funny, has a great smile and is charismatic. Can't say any of those about Ryan Seacrest.

I think it's so funny that he played Vern, the nerdy character in "Stand by Me." He was the young character who ate Pez and hid a jar of pennies under his porch so his bully brother (Keifer Sutherland) couldn't find them. Sadly, he forgot exactly where he hid them and he couldn't find them either lol  He was GREAT in that movie, and who ever thought he'd grow up to be such a  hottie?
