I just watched the first episode this morning.  It was amazing!   I started a Pass for the show, for now anyway, so I won't miss any of them.   The job she did was perfection from the personal bits, to the reading of the answers, to the speed of keeping things going.  Brava!

@aubnwa01. Thanks for posting that. I will say that referring to herself as "an academic" was really off-putting, just as her  mention of her PhD is and as is referring to herself as smart in that commercial I mentioned above.

I have a post-graduate degree equivalent to hers and have been in a traditionally male profession for well over 40 years. My closest friends are in academia and brilliant people. Several are college professors at a prestigious college.  I never hear them tout their degrees nor how smart they are. And I don't hear them refer to themselves as academics.  I would hope that part of being very smart is also having some humility about it, not having to keep announcing it.   I dislike this "I'm really smart and well educated" aspect of her but did like her a lot yesterday as Jeopardy host.  I hope she doesn't wear her degree and smarts like a badge of honor every day.
