Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are divorcing after just over two years of marriage. Lopez filed on Tuesday, August 20, in L.A. County Superior Court, Variety confirms.
The official separation date is listed as April 26.
Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, married in Las Vegas in July 2022 after re-sparking their relationship from two decades prior, which was dubbed “Bennifer” by tabloid publications at the time and was a fixation of their coverage in the early 2000s.
The two tied the knot again in a large ceremony in Georgia on August 20, 2022 — exactly two years ago.

Not suprised

What is with her? I think she falls in love with love, but the commitment to marriage is the hard part. But who knows. Maybe he went back to gambling, or it was a blast from the past that fizzled. I I am sorry for both of them. This can't be easy no matter who you are. I don't know them or their lives, only what the media reports. So who knows. But I wish them both peace and strength in their lives

Hopefully they will both remain single. Neither of them are the marrying kind.

It's hard being her. 🤗

I am sure that she will find some young boy toy that will help with the healing process of her divorce.

That must have been one hell of a fight.
Third time might be the charm, though.

I gave it a year. No surprise.

It does make one wonder why she keeps marrying. Why not just live with them and move on if it doesn't work. I guess they both live in fantasyland. No surprise, I have read where she is a difficult person.
Well, I wonder how long before she latches on to someone else or maybe she has one waiting in the wings!!🤗
TMZ is reporting there was no pre-nup. Apparently, they have been trying to work out a settlement for months. She filed without a lawyer. That would mean whatever earnings, or profit, Ben and Jen made during their nearly 2 years of marriage is community property.
For instance, since they tied the knot ... Ben's starred in "Air" and "Hypnotic," and produced "The Instigators." He also just wrapped filming "The Accountant 2" a few days ago.
As for J Lo, during their marriage she had "Shotgun Wedding," "The Mother," 'This Is Me ... Now' and "Atlas."
J Lo filed legal docs Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court, but they were not filed by a lawyer. Jennifer filed pro per, meaning by herself and without an attorney.
According to the docs, Jennifer waived spousal support and is asking the judge to deny Ben such support as well.
So, why then did J Lo decide to file while they're still battling over money? Well, even though it doesn't matter, legally, who files first in a no-fault state -- sometimes PR concerns are involved when it comes to who files first.
