Re: Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson shows

The talk show format has been around for decades. Most of them fail. Most of them are formulaic and boring. Hosts need to be more than show biz performers. I honestly don't understand why the powers-that-be continue to toss new shows out every fall. They're probably relatively cheap to produce but the return on investment is usually zilch. I don't watch any daytime talk shows and I'm home more than I used to be because I'm retired and my husband is in an expensive nursing home. I read a lot and I love watching old movies. Talk shows are just a parade of entertainers hawking their latest projects.

[ Edited ]

I just happened upon the Jennifer Hudson show recently just as Leslie Jordan was going to be on, so I watched that.  I have always really liked him, so it was fun.

Hudson is so massively talented that I think I was surprised she wanted to be a talk show host.   I'm not a fan of Kelly Clarkson and not even sure why.  She just always struck me in a way that was a turn off.  I don't dislike her.  I just don't particularly like her.

Lot of talk shows - and judge shows, too. Those must be popular, although I don't find them interesting at all.   It looks like they have been dumbed down pretty much, as some of them aren't even judges.  Seems odd to me.

I think they both have amazing singing voices but I don't want to watch them talk for an hour.

I can not stand either of these two woman... Kelly is loud, obnoxious, has a lisp and dresses like a clown... like no one I have ever seen.  Her interviews are BAD... her show even worse...

the other one, Jennifer, is  just not a good show host. Stick to singing and doing weight watchers commercials or whatever weight plan she used to make millions.  Not everyone can do a interview entertainment show... and these two are FAILURES at best....

I agree with you about hosts and shows. I tried to watch them but couldn't get through even 1 JH show. I admit, I am always disappointed when people comment on disabilities (lisp) and superficial things like clothes.

Tamron's crime shows are still on ID tv.  Those are pretty good but I like true crime shows.

Re: Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson shows

@MW in Iowa I watch Tamron Hall. She does a lot of interesting and entertaining topics about enriching yourself and your life. I have to tape her because they've bumped her to overnight here but I do enjoy most of her shows.

If anyone is missing the original Dr. Phil type of show, I've stumbled across Karamo. Never heard of the guy but I am really enjoying his common sense advice and topics. Grateful to find him since I am not of fan of the sensationalism Dr. Phil has turned into. I guess they were tired of paying for rehabs and wilderness ranches and the lawsuits that come with them. The catch me outside girl took him down big time.

And I can't believe I am typing this but Sherri comes on in the early mornings as I am getting ready for work and, as much as I have an issue with her personal behavior, I really like her show. It's a lot of fun.
