Thanks for posting this. I am going to check it out. I always liked her and about a month ago I re-Watched the first season of big Brother, which she was on. It was quite interesting.
Ooh, I didn't know she was ever on Big Brother! I'll bet it was interesting. I might have to check that out. Thanks for sharing this.😃❤️

I never see it advertised or hear anything about it anymore.
I was thinking about the SPANX lady just the other day lol! The Q must've just completely cut ties with that company because I don't even think they even sell them anymore...At least I never see them presented.

I watched Jamie on the Today show this morning and I think it's worth noting that after 3 years of rejections it was QVC that gave her a chance to launch her line that led to her eventual mega success. Jaimie was smart to go with her intuition and ignore their suggestion to not take off her make up and use models that represented all. Those of us in sales know that it's important to be your authentic self. You're representing a product, yes, but it's what you bring of yourself that really connects to the public/audience. Kudos to the Q for giving Jaimie a sales platform. I don't think anything she said was con QVC. Jaimie's platform now is teaching her followers how to build self esteem that will lead to personal and financial success. She's a great role model! It's also a remarkable story of how QVC can lead to being a billionaire!

@mspemberley @Well said! I enjoyed listening to her today! Now if I could just develop something I could sell for a billion dollars! Lol

@Kachina624 @cheriere QVC still sells Spanx every once in a while, but you can find Spanx everywhere. She became a billionaire in 2012, and she has better use of her time than hawking products on QVC.
I have seen her most recently in her charitable endeavors. In 2013, she became the first female billionaire to join the "Giving Pledge," Bill Gates and Warren Buffett's pledge, whereby the world's richest people donate at least half of their wealth to charity.
She has charities promoting women entrepreneurship.

Yes, i agree. It was thanks to QVC that she was able to become a billionaire.
I'm glad she's being her authentic self and was glad she said what she did. But, it makes you wonder why she bothered to mention these things in her limited interview time. It just doesn't put the Q in a great light for her to say they didn't want her to remove her makeup or use a certain type of model.

@cheriere she used to tell her story in qvc all the time. I saw her from the beginning, I think she started with one product, the concealer.
Is she still with It Cosmetics? I thought she was no longer involved.

I think she said it so people can do what they feel is right about their own product. I believe Joy went against Q's advice as well. It was Joy's idea to present her mop herself and that is when Joy's mop started selling. I remember seeing Jamie taking off her make up and was amazed that her make up coverd everything. I was also impressed that she let herself be vulnerable. I think that is what made her product a hit. Also Jamie's personality is great. So happy she is doing so well. She has definitely worked hard to get what she has now.

Yeah, I remember her from the old days too. I always liked her and couldn't wait to try the concealer for the first time lol.😃❤️
No, she sold IT Cosmetics to L'Oréal several years ago. She no longer has any type of involvement with it.
It said she was now involved with 20 other companies, but didn't mention any of them. It sounds to me like she wants to be a motivational speaker now. They mentioned a new book she has out, along with her podcast.

I completely agree. I don't think her product/concealer would've done nearly as well without that demonstration. I can actually remember that first show and seeing her do it. I didn't get the concealer that time, but did pretty soon after. Back then, she'd always offer the best kits too. I sure miss those days.😃❤️
