Re: Is anyone else tired of all the celebrities and their children's book?

Celebrities don't have the maturity or writing skills to author an adult book.

@Big Joanie.  Then shut off the tv and don't go to the movies. They are making a living like most people as they should.  Contributing to the economy,  giving work to tons of people and aren't looking for you to pay their way.

Generalize much?  Just like any sector of the population, there are all kinds of celebrated people. Many who do a fair amount of screenplay writing, book authoring, plays, musicals and some have even written scholastic books on mathematics and history.

Stephen Colbert has recently wrote an outstanding children's book.

We're in a celebrity-obsessed culture.  That's why these things sell.

Yes. Just plain tired of “celebreties” in general.

I have not purchased it but I believe I have heard him say all proceeds go to  those who were affected by the hurricane. Kudos to those that put it together.

Yes, all money to people affected by the hurricane and fyi @hopi Colbert didn't write it, his writers compiled it.  It was all already tweeted, um, written.

What are all these people bashing celebrities doing in the tv & movies forum?  Especially the one who claims to have shut her tv.  And some of these posters are people you don't run across in the book forum.  Do you listen to music 24/7 or just sit in a rocking chair knitting and grumbling to yourselves?

I didn't know celebrities were doing that.  I'll  being buying books for my grands soon but those books will not be celebrity books.  Apparently, they want all the money in the world.
