I cannot believe the second season is almost over. Loved the first season but it took me a couple of episodes to get into season 2 with no Lestat. Of course, that has all changed as Lestat got his revenge last night. Sam Reid is the best Lestat I could have hoped for. The series has been a visual delight, too, beyond Sam Reid. Hoping for a season 3.

It's got excellent acting and the reviews for the series have been tops. I realize the subject matter is not for everyone but for me it's not boring and it's different from the rest of the shows I normally watch these days. I have been enjoying the series so far.
@SilleeMee I am not watching it because no show can top the original move with Brad Pitt.

I know this series isn't popular on this forum but I have to say I loved the finale! It was the best episode of all. So emotional and an unforgettable performance of all of the characters. I hope to see awards for this one. They deserve it.

SilleeMee, I loved the finale, too. As a matter of fact, I loved both seasons. I hope that we do not have to wait more than a year for season 3. Sam Reid as Lestat is perfection. Yes, they do deserve awards for this one. It has been a remarkable and a very artistic production.

@SilleeMee Agree 110%
AMC has confirmed there will be a season 3. There were TWO hints in the finale.
Season 3 will follow Rice's 2nd vampire book from the series called The Vampire Lestat. If you read the book, then you would know it follows Lestat's rock star period.

Thanks! @Mz iMac .
I have no clue what those 'hints' might be but I'm glad there will be a S3.

Anne Rice created a whole society of the lives of vampires.
Read the books first. Hollywood has taken a period piece and created a society of vampires today which doesn't fit. The closest to the original is the movie Interview with the Vampire with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise
IMO that movie is worth watching.
