Because I don't have cable, amazon prime or any other service that would carry the new season of Yellowstone, I watched it on network tv last night and I was correct...all the fire and smut are removed from it and it was truly lackluster...disjointed because it seems as though some parts were removed. So I will be patient and wait for it to stream on what I do have in the next few years. You got to have the smut because to me, that's what makes it compelling.

I watched it on Paramount an hour before CBS showed it. That version was disjointed and lackluster too.
Chatted with a friend after & he felt the same way. He was going to watch the CBS version too to see if there was a difference.
I tried to watch the CBS version also but once was enough.

Meh. It certainly wasn't worth the hype. It was so disjointed. There's Beth and her antics on this side and on the other side is drivel about the cowboy life.
Kace's wife makes me think she's Meghan Markle.
I was going to subscribe to Paramount to be able to watch it, but changed my mind after this episode. I can watch cowboys on horses drive cattle on you tube or old movies.

Huh! I found it very well done, well acted and very engaging!
I always tape it so I can FF commercials....but found myself glued to just keep watching.
I just wish I could understand a single word Jennifer Landon says! LOL

@RespectLife Yeah I have a hard time too and I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a "cowboy" accent or how she really talks. Of course, there are no cowboys where I live so I'm at a loss!

Absolutely gotta have that smut! I especially enjoy watching Beth Dutton and her smutty ways.
Censoring it would definitely make it a different experience for sure....an experience I hope to never have. haha

@bmorechick her accent is for TV.

There are 'cowboys' all over the world. Their accents, if any, are regional.
My ex was a real cowboy from Eastern Colorado. He had no accent that I could detect.

@RespectLife If you have the capability, you can add the text to your TV so you can see the words. I do that quite often. Some of the characters on General Hopital mumble, so I put the text on so I can read it and don't have to rewind to watch it again. Jennifer Landon is great on that show and it is funny how they make fun of her accent.

I watched it on Paramount and then again on CBS. I thought the episode was fantastic. I only noticed two things that were taken out - a s3x scene that was shown on a laptop, and something that Jimmy said to Rip (foul language.)
At the end of the show, with Beth Dutton running into Rip's arms - her grief, her wailing, her desperation, was really hard to watch. How anyone could watch that scene and not tear up is beyond me.
As a side note, as I am sitting here thinking about grief, about 9 years ago my son and I went to funeral services for a young male classmate (high school age) who was hit by a car as he was walking along a road. This was a big service that was a bit of a production and was videotaped. Anyway, at the end the family went up to the open casket to say their last goodbyes. When the mother got there, she let out a grief stricken wail that I can still hear. It was heart wrenching and something I will never forget.
