Hey all! My first post ever and I am busting at the seams to share!
One of our local theaters was showing a special viewing of it tonight and it does not disappoint! All the characters are back with their own individual storyline, glorious breathtaking scenery and costumes, new romance, familiar music score throughout, the two hours just flew by. As a die-hard fan, I did not want it to end. Maggie Smith and Carson stole the movie! I am already making plans to see it again.

Thank you for sharing, big fan here too.

Come on Back, 👋

I love anything British but never saw any of the TV series. Would the movie still make sense if I saw it without seeing the TV show?
I want to know the answer, too. I’ve seen the entire series and actually just watched it all for a second time but I would love to bring a friend and she has not seen the TV series. I hope the movie can stand alone.

On yes, most definitely! Each character is so well defined that you will relate to them without knowing their background nor their previous history. You will become engaged in the storylines immediately. Please consider seeing the movie and you will fall in love!

As you are familiar with the series, you are gonna be swept away in all the grandeur! Your friend will thoroughly enjoy the movie as well. Yes, it can stand alone!
