Downton Abbey the movie was on PBS last night. Not having seen it, I started watching and fell asleep, so will continue tonight.

@rms1954

They were few and far between----

They showed

"The Charlie Brown Christmas" on PBS where Linus recites the story from Luke......

TBN had "The Chosen movie--The Shepherds

The Bishop's Wife was on Christmas Eve on TCM (the one with Cary Grant, David Niven, and Loretta Young)---Cary as the angel talks about King David, and in the closing minutes David Niven gives his sermon and talks about whose birthday it is....

Tenth Ave Angel shown last night on TCM had to rely on a Christmas miracle to save her mom that was dying in child birth....

I remember The Family Channel now known as Freeform used to have cartoons with messages---a story about a donkey at the Manger, The Little Drummer Boy and but havent seen them its now continuous Santa Claus series, Home Alone, and The Grinch....

Its also Happy Holidays and not much Merry Christmas  these days....

Animals are reliable, full of love, true in their affections, grateful. Difficult standards for people to live up to.”
