you may have already tried this, but if not, search for Hallmark (or other channel) actor (and/or actress) with blond(e) curly hair. Maybe you'll recognize one of them and can go from there.

Thanks I have and just can't find him.
I love to research and usually consider myself pretty good (and relentless!) but I haven't had any luck at all.
Our Christmas movie mystery!

Now we need a thread titled "movies that ruined our Christmas!" (building on the recent thread in Community Chat).
Anyway, please keep us updated. It's going to nag me for weeks!

Your description sounds like the movie Mr. Miracle, which is on The Hallmark Drama Channel.
Here is a synopsis from one of the review sites:
Erich was in a bad skiing accident and broke his leg.
When Julie and Sharon leave on their vacation, Addie tries to be a good caretaker for Erich while staying at a distance. As she cooks for him and attempts to lighten his mood with Christmas spirit, they suddenly get serious about how terrible he made her feel as a kid.
* I did not post the full text, since it gives away the ending of the movie.
I hope this helps!

@undertheradar @on the bay I think that's it. That's the one I remember. I hope it's the right one and that they will repeat it so you can finish it on the bay. Sometimes Amazon Prime and Netflix have Hallmark movies, too.

OP I've been trying to post a photo from the Mr. Miracle movie, but the site won't let me....grrrrrr. It's a photo of a girl with light brown/dark blonde hair...long hair, with bangs....next to a guy on crutches with curly light hair...they are in front of a big outside Christmas tree. I'll keep trying to post it so you can see if perhaps it's the movie you remember.
I know that would drive me nuts not knowing lol!!!
