How are you at playing Jeopardy?

I'm watching the old ones on t.v. (You Tube). I think some people are really good at this.  Did or do you play along?

Re: How are you at playing Jeopardy?

How can anybody NOT play along? Ha! It's addictive. I'm thrilled when I get them right. I've found that it totally depends on the categories (topics). There are plenty of categories that I am totally clueless! I'm amazed at the breadth of knowledge of some folks. I love Jeopardy. Best game show ever! #1 in my opinion. Still miss Alex Trebec.

Re: How are you at playing Jeopardy?

Jeopardy is the most popular tv game show. Wheel of fortune comes in 2nd. Number 3 is the price is right. My husband and I love Jeopardy. We often blurt out the answers & then feel stupid when we're wrong. Oops! A lot of times we know the answers but the contestants are such fast thinkers. They answer before we can get it out.

We don't care for The wheel of fortune. We get annoyed with all the clapping & noises from the wheel turning & bells ringing. I also don't care for the new host of Wheel of Fortune. He seems kind of like a fake Ken doll. Just my opinion though. If people like Wheel of Fortune, enjoy

Re: How are you at playing Jeopardy?

I've watched it since I was a child. Always loved trivia. We watch it every night if we're home. I have found the older I get the slower my reaction time. I'll sometimes know the answer, but I just can't get it out. Or DH and I will look at each other and say, "you know, that guy, that guy who did such and such."  We sound like blithering ding-dongs. Hahaha! Sometimes we're amazed at the difficult things they know, and what seemingly easy things they don't know.

Re: How are you at playing Jeopardy?

I've been watching, playing along, and I would never win.  Seems like the answers I know are the ones the contestants don't.  They are too young to know photos of certain musicians, actors, etc....from years ago.

The knowledge they have is so off the beaten track, I don't know how they store all this obscure stuff in their heads, but they do.  I do get bored with certain champions.  The current one is so fast that I can't understand a lot of his answers and he's on to the next category.

I do much better on Wheel of Fortune because I like to do crosswords.  But I only watch the last 5-10 minutes because the beginning puzzles are too slow and boring.

My husband would be a winner for sure. He reads a lot and that is the way his brain keeps things.   He remembers dates, numbers, random facts.

I love Jepopardy!  I love it espeicially when I know the correct question and none of the contestants do.  It is extra special when it is a final Jeopardy question.

Re: How are you at playing Jeopardy?

I always play along and I'm not too bad at it.

It's weird how you can sometimes answer a question correctly and have no idea how you know it, LOL.

I do, but I never put the answer in the form of a question when playing at home!

Re: How are you at playing Jeopardy?

I have enjoyed watching and playing along for many years. How well I do depends on the categories.
