So I have Disney Plus through next week as I took advantage of the $1.99/month deal, had my flu shot this am so was feeling a little off so just watched this movie.  I had loved the original when it came out so felt a little nostalgic watching this & it didn't disappoint, Kathy, Bette & Sara Jessica still had the moves down & the 3 teenage heroines were great. & Hannah Waddingham from Ted Lasso nailed it in a cameo.

I actually watched the original version for the first time last night. I really enjoyed it!  Don't have Disney + right now, but I add it from time to time. Would love to see the sequel.

@september  I agree as I was surprised also that I liked the original.  Cgi & all the upgrades in movies really seemed so much more real if that's the right word in this movie than in the new Pinochio which I also watched but felt Disney really didn't do that one justice at all.

@colleena    I really loved the cat in the original movie, although I realized how much technology has changed since that was filmed.  Watching it last night, I knew that, but I still think it was well done, given the technology that was available at that time.

I had forgotten about the original movie until they started filming for Hocus Pocus 2 right here in RI!   Chase Farm in Lincoln is the next town over from me and they actually built a set of a small town on the farm!  We drove by it  a few times, never got a glimpse of any of the actors though.  I remember watching the first one with my kids!

I loe Hocus Pocus!  Already seen HP1 4 times this season.  Will be watching Hocus Pocus 2 tonight.

I watched it this morning - loved it - thought it was delightful.

I really liked the beginning - would love to see more of the Sanderson Sisiters when they were young.   Those actresses were great too.

Loved Hannah Waddingham - would have loved more of her too.

I watched the original the other night - still makes me chuckle - great movie.

Love the original but haven't seen the new one yet.

However, I just saw the Lovesac cross-promotional commercial:
