what is wrong with her??? She already gave up custody of her daughter to the father and she lives with him in The Ukraine. Why would Hayden put up with a man who hits her? Crazy!!!!!! I have a feeling she is a lot like her character in Nashville in many ways!

@CANDLEQUEEN My heart goes out to her. It just goes to show that money, nor privilege makes a person immune to battered woman syndrome. Men can be just as affected by this. The wounds are not just physical. It is the emotional wounds that are perhaps the deepest. I was in an abusive relationship for a short time when I was younger, and was depressed with a VERY low sense of self worth because of it.

Those days are long gone, but the emotional scars took years for me to process. There was a beautiful thread the other day about self love. It has been a journey for me, and I am so blessed to have discovered it though prayer and self reflection. Perhaps one day, she will too.

Men that do this are pigs. My younger sister dealt with this when she was young & had not been dating very long. The guy was very abusive. She left because she said she was not putting up with a man beating her. Since this happened to her she has had issues & never got married or had kids.

If a man ever starting beating on me I would beat back as best I could. I would not put up with this for one minute.

I just heard that this is the 2nd time that he has beaten her!

Why stay with him and let him keep doing this? If she does,

next time could be the last time. Unbelievable.

I didn't know this about her. I'm glad she gave up custody of her daughter though. No child should have to see their mother being beat up and staying in an abusive relationship.

Edited to say: I can't find that she gave up custody, just that the daughter is living in Ukraine with her father.

Edited to say: I shouldn't have said relinguished custody, he has the child, he is raising the child. Sorry about that!

I'm more interested in what's wrong with a man who abuses women.

This is on him Victim blaming makes it harder for people suffering domestic violence to get help because of the shame and stigma.
